Rooted in Connection. Guided by Principles.
Choosing a healthcare provider is about more than credentials, it's about finding someone who listens, understands your goals, and takes the time to provide care that is truly individualized. At Grounded Osteopathy, every patient is treated with curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to understanding the whole person.
Reagan Asselstine
Osteopathic Manual Practitioner
I believe healthcare is most meaningful when it begins with listening. Every patient has a unique story, and my goal is to understand not only what you're experiencing, but why. Through thoughtful assessment and individualized treatment, I aim to help you better understand your body and support you in feeling your best.
I hold a Master of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy and a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) from Queen's University. Together, these programs provided a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, clinical reasoning, and evidence-informed healthcare. Alongside my clinical studies, I explored global health and population health, broadening my understanding of the many factors that influence health and well-being beyond the individual. My osteopathic education included more than 4,200 hours of comprehensive academic study and over 1,000 hours of supervised hands-on clinical training, allowing me to work with a wide variety of patients while developing the assessment and treatment skills that continue to guide my practice today.
Outside of the clinic, I've spent years teaching yoga and strength-based fitness. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for movement, body awareness, and the many ways people experience and interact with their bodies. They've also reinforced the importance of meeting each person where they are, recognizing that every individual moves differently and every path to better health is unique.
Today, I bring these experiences together through a principles-based approach to osteopathy. My goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized care that looks beyond symptoms, seeks to understand the underlying cause of dysfunction, and supports your body's natural ability to adapt, heal, and function at its best.
Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing persistent discomfort, or looking to improve the way your body moves and functions, I'm committed to providing care that helps you better understand your body and supports your long-term health.
